Attorney Maria Foden of Hartford, CT; ethical leprechaun

The state of Connecticut provided Maria Luisa De Castro Foden with a law license in 1980 after she graduated from the University of Connecticut Law School.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Maria guilty of the following misconduct.

• Improperly terminated representation of client
• Modified fee agreement w/o obtaining client’s consent
• Failed to comply with client information request
• Failed to advise client of status of legal matter
• Failed to promptly surrender client file to successor counsel

As a consequence of her misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Maria by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2016) Maria practices at 107 Oak Street in Hartford, Connecticut.
