Former DA Stephen Jones of Memphis; scamming loser

The State of Tennessee presented Stephen Patrick Jones with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from the University of Memphis Law School.

The Tennessee State Board of Professional Responsibility has charged Stevie with engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as prosecutor in Shelby County and assigned to the murder case of Noura Jackson.

In 2009, the Court of Appeals overturned Ms. Jackson’s murder conviction due to the prosecutorial misconduct of Stevie and others.

Prior to and during the trial, Stevie knowingly and intentionally failed to turn over a key statement from a witness named Andrew Hammock regarding the murder trial. In fact, Stevie didn’t turn over the highly relevant witness statement to Ms. Jackson’s attorney until the trial had concluded.

At the hearing tossing out her wrongful murder conviction, Ms. Jackson said:

  • “Andrew Hammock was the only person to testify I was at my home that night.”
  • “My lawyers repeatedly argued for the state to release the evidence but the prosecutors denied it existed.”
  • “The prosecutors in this case deceived the judge, my lawyers, and the jury by hiding a very important piece of evidence.”
  • “The prosecutors then allowed that witness to perjure himself on the stand and didn't do anything to stop it.”
  • “This should never be allowed and trust me when I say I'm not the only person this has happened to.”

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Stevie for his outrageous conduct by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court.

If justice were truly blind, then Stevie should be required to serve six-years in prisons just like Ms. Jackson did for being wrongfully convicted as a result of his misconduct.

As we speak (ca. September 2016) Stevie practices at 201 Poplar Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee.
