Attorney Daniel Shea of Houston; ethical leprechaun

The state of Texas presented Daniel J. Shea with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from South Texas University Law School.

The 295th District Court of Harris County found Danny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide client with written statement setting forth in detail the outcome of a contingent fee case regarding remittance of funds to client and method of determination of client remittance
  • Entered into business transaction with client
  • Failed to give client opportunity to seek independent legal advice re: business transaction
  • Failed to keep client funds in a client trust account
  • Failed to promptly deliver client funds to client he was entitled to receive

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Danny by gifting him with a complimentary 18-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2016), Danny practices with Daniel J. Shea PC at 1519 Droxford Drive in Houston, Texas.
