Attorney Alton Payne Jr. of Houston; ethical dwarf

The state of Texas presented Alton W. Payne Jr. with a law license in 1983 after she graduated from the University of New Hampshire Law School.

The District 4-B3 Grievance Committee found Alton guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Alton found it acceptable to materially violate the terms and conditions of a corrected agreed judgment of suspension.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Alton by gifting him with a complimentary 22-month suspension of his law license.
