Judge Thomas Keefe of Albany, NY; potty mouth loser

The state of New York presented Thomas Kevin Keefe with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the Albany Law School.

The New York Commission on Judicial Conduct found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Repeatedly lashed out at prosecutors over proposed plea bargains
  • Used discourteous and undignified language to express his anger
  • Dismissed DUI case w/o any party appearing or DA asking for the dismissal
  • Violated defendant’s constitution right to counsel
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) communication with defendant
  • Failed to respect and comply with the law
  • Illegally ordered defendant to not communicate with her attorney

On numerous occasions, Tommy found it acceptable use profanity in his official dealings with defendants, their attorney and/or prosecutors that unfortunately had to appear in his so-called courtroom. The following are examples of Tommy’s foul-mouth rants, many of which took place during plea bargain hearings.

  • “I’m so pissed off.”
  • “Un-fucking-believable.”
  • “Now, listen, I realize I am a pain in the fucking ass.”
  • “I realize I am driving people crazy. I’m sorry. I don’t give a damn.”
  • “Who the fuck are you to make me keep (defendant) in jail while you do this?”
  • “If you don’t fucking like the way things are going in this fucking courtroom, then don’t come back.”
  • “I am trying to be a generalized asshole and I’m pretty good at it, aren’t I?”

In an egregious example of arrogance, Tommy said:

  • “I’m going to do my job as I see it and if people don’t like it, they should do something about it instead of whining about it, right?”
  • “So, the bottom line is, I have all the time in the world.”
  • “I’m running for re-election unopposed.”
  • “I’m going to be here for 10 years and if you think that I’ve caused problems up to this moment, you haven’t seen anything yet.”

As a consequence of him being found guilty of 13 charges of misconduct, Tommy took the cowards way out and resigned his judgeship as of September 30, 2016 and agreed to never seek a judicial office for the remainder of his useless life.

As we speak (ca. August 2016), Tommy practices his brand of law at 2 Morton Avenue in Albany, New York.
