Judge Gisela Triana of Austin, TX; drunken loser

The state of Texas presented Gisela Danette Triana with a law license in 1988 after she graduated from the University of Texas Law School.

Former Gov. Rick Perry was duped into appointing Gisela to a judgeship in 1999. Gisela didn’t get the appointment because she was the most qualified attorney in the greater Austin area. She got it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

What is ironic at best is the fact that Gisela was appointed by Gov. Perry to fill the seat of another judicial loser who resigned in the wake of a drunk driving arrest. The only difference between the first drunk and the second is that the first drunk’s preferred booze was Jack Daniels.

In one matter,Judge Triana was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) after partying with a group of lawyers at a Jimmy Kimmel show taping.

After being pulled over for speeding (47 mph in a 30 mph zone), the police discovered that Triana had an empty bottle of Mike’s Hard Lemonade in the center console of her Chevy Suburban.

Police reported that Triana refused to take a breath test and laughingly claimed she only had four drinks before getting behalf the wheel. (Austin American-Statesman) Triana said she had two drinks at the Jimmy Kimmel show and two more at Zax Restaurant & Bar. She was pulled over less than two miles from the bar. Clearly, Triana missed her calling as a Standup Comedian.

According to the arresting officer, Triana could not walk a straight line during a field sobriety test. He went on to say that her eyes were glassy, she smelled of alcohol and slurred her words.

All that remains now is to see how long it takes for Triana the Drunk to enter a guilty plea. At worst, she’ll likely be sentenced to attend the Mel Gibson Institute for Lushes located in West Hollywood, California.

As we speak (ca. August 2016), Christine continues to sit (when sober) on the 200th District Court, Travis County Civil Courts in Austin, Texas.
