Attorney Alexander Dranov of Brooklyn, NY; thieving liar

The state of New York presented Alexander B. Dranov with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

The Appellate Division Disciplinary Panel found Alex guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Charged client excessive fee in attempt to justify his retention of entire settlement award
  • Failed to provide client with copy of retainer agreement
  • Provided contrived (BS) defense at disciplinary hearing
  • Lied to client he would hold settlement funds in escrow account
  • Embroiled himself in several conflicts-of-interest situations
  • Committed serious ethics offenses
  • Explanations to ethics investigators not credible

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Appellate Division Disciplinary Panel punished Alex by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2016), Hank practices at 315 Park Place in Brooklyn, New York.
