Attorney Alec Lewis of Rockville, MD; cheating loser

The state of Maryland presented Alec Michael Lewis with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from the University of Miami Law School. Alec also received a law license to practice in Florida in 1984.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Alec guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to maintain unearned fees in client trust account
• Failed to obtain client consent to deposit unearned fee into an account that was not a client trust account
• Failed to timely return unearned fees (cheater)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Alec by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
