Attorney Marvin Ripley of Rock Falls, IL; convicted tax cheat

The state of Illinois presented Marvin G. Ripley with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from Loyola University Law School in Chicago.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Marv guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Marv and his wife were charged in a three-count information in the United States District Court of the Northern District of Illinois of willfully facility to file, at the time required by law, federal income tax returns for the tax years 1987, 1988, and 1989.

Subsequently, Marv pled guilty to the criminal charge of failing to file his federal income tax return for 1987 and was fined $2,000 and sentenced to two-years of probation.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Marv by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (August 2016), Marv practices at 300 1st Avenue in Rock Falls, Illinois.

Caution: Marv is not covered by legal malpractice insurance
