The Law Society presented David Spain with a law license in 1988.

The Legal Practice Tribunal found Dave guilty of the following misconduct.

• Acted for both the purchaser and vendor in a business transaction
• Purchaser not informed he was acting for the vendor
• Purchaser not advised of the nature and implications of conflict
• Failed to obtain purchaser’s consent to engage in conflict of interest
• Breached his duty as a solicitor

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Queensland Bar punished Dave by gifting him with a complimentary $12,000 fine.

As we speak (ca. August 2016), Dave practices with Spains Solicitors and Attorneys at 200 Bundall Road in Queensland, Australia.
