Attorney Launi Jones-Sheldon of Phoenix; ethical gremlin

The state of Arizona presented Launi Jones-Sheldon with a law license in 2000 after she graduated from the Whittier University Law School.

The Arizona Commission on Judicial Conduct found Launi guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while she was employed as a Pro-Tem (temporary) judge in Phoenix.

  • Failed to act in manner to promote public confidence in the judiciary
  • Allowed personal interests to influence her conduct
  • Approved use of family owned business in settlement of family court matter
  • Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) communications
  • Stood to personally profit from use of family owned business in family court proceedings

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Launi by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2017), Launi practices with Rader Sheldon & Stoutner PLLC at 11260 North Tatum Blvd in Phoenix, Arizona.
