Attorney R. Robert Sossen Jr of Utica, NY; convicted tax cheat

The state of New York presented R. Robert Sossen Jr. with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of Buffalo Law School.

The Appellate Division Disciplinary Panel found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct that adversely reflects on his fitness as a lawyer
  • Pled guilty to three counts of failure to pay state income tax over three-year period of time
  • Sentenced to 20 weekends in jail and three years of probation
  • Engaged in conduct that adversely reflects on his honesty and trustworthiness

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Appellate Division Disciplinary Panel punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. July 2016), Bobby practices at 10 Steuben Park in Utica, New York.
