Attorney Robert Driscoll of Denver: druggie, serial offender

 

The state of Colorado provided Robert Justin Driscoll with a law license in 1974.

 

The Colorado State Bar found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Bobby’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to give sufficient attention to client legal matter
  • Negligence led to clients being evicted from their home

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

 

Bobby’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to execute written stipulation on behalf of client
  • Failed to make good on promise to client

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

 

Bobby’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to timely respond to interrogatories
  • Negligence led to client’s case being dismissed
  • Charged client unreasonable fee (thief)
  • Accepted cocaine to hold for client but then used it himself
  • Settled client’s case without client permission or knowledge
  • Failed to timely return client file after being terminated
  • Failed to communicate with clients
  • Knowingly wrote two checks on insufficient fund account (rubber)
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Bobby!)
  • Failed to appear at court hearing on behalf of client
  • Failed to obtain preliminary hearing date on client’s behalf
  • Neglected several client legal matters 

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

 

Bobby’s 4th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Pled guilty to driving under the influence (DUI)
  • Repeatedly used alcohol and cocaine for several years
  • Arrested for attempting to purchase crack cocaine

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. July 2016), Bobby practices with the Driscoll Law Office at 455 Sherman Street in Denver, Colorado.
