Attorney Brian Wutz of Walled Lake, MI; cheating loser

The state of Michigan provided Brian R. Wutz with a law license in 2004 after he graduated from Michigan State University Law School. Dave is also licensed to practice in New York.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel #6 found Brian guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Brian!)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to seek lawful objectives of his clients
  • Failed to communicate with clients
  • Failed to communicate the basis or rate of his fee to clients
  • Failed to deposit advance fees in a client trust account
  • Failed to promptly render full account upon clients’ requests
  • Failed to refund unearned portion of advance fees (cheater)
  • Failed to surrenders client papers and property upon termination
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting Disciplinary Board punished Brian by gifting him with a complimentary 180-day suspension of his law license, which means his license will be reinstated in November 2016. He was also ordered to pay $11,600 in restitution to his former clients (victims).

As we speak (ca. July 2016), Brian will again practice with the Wutz Law Firm PLC at 736 West Grand River in Walled Lake, Michigan after his license is reinstated.
