Judge Brenda Weaver of Jasper, GA; ethical leprechaun

The State of Florida presented Brenda Weaver with a law license in 1983 after she graduated from the Woodrow Wilson School of  Law.

Brenda has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the last thirty-five (35) years. Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Jasper, Georgia area was about to offer her a good paying job.

The Georgia Judicial Qualifications Commission has charged Brenda with engaging in the following misconduct.

In one matter, Brenda convinced a prosecutor to indict a local newspaper publisher and his attorney after investigative reporting on use of a racial slur to describe a defendant and another man in open court now finds herself in the hot seat after the story became a national outrage. It was claimed that Brenda took affirmative steps that led to violating the First Amendment Free Speech rights of at least one reporter and the local newspaper that he worked for.

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Brenda by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. July 2016), Brenda continues to sit as Chief Superior Court Judge of the Appalachian Judicial Circuit in Jasper, Georgia.
