The Law Society presented Nicholas William West with a law license in 1984.

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found Nick guilty of the following misconduct.

Nick’s misconduct took place during the time he was a partner with the DLA Piper Law Firm in London.

In one matter, Nick found it acceptable to exchange a series of sexist and offensive emails with his client for more than a year. The offensive communication involved a friend of Nick’s who worked for the football (soccer) governing body of the Premier League and related to the potential recruitment of a female employee. Some of Nick’s offense comments are as follows:

• Repeatedly referred to the word “klunt”
• Referred to his own “graphite shaft”

Several of Nick’s offensive/sexist comments about the potential female employee are:

• “How kluntilicious to hear you in such kluntilicious form”
• “If she is interested in your dangle or your dongle”
• “Save your cash in case you find some gash. It’s a good job there’s no ladies present”
• Referred to the term “foetus shopping” in one email

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Tribunal punished Nick by gifting him with a complimentary £15,000 ($16,577) fine and ordered that he pay £12,000 ($13,261) in costs.

As we speak (ca. July 2016), Nick is the Lead Partner in SNR Denton at One Fleet Place in London, England.
