Attorney Mark Brunner of Round Rock, TX; lying loser

The state of Texas presented Mark Edwin Bruner with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) Law  .

A panel of the District 8 Grievance Committee found Mark guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as the first assistant district attorney in Williamson County.

Before the acceptance of a plea agreement, when the court specifically asked Mark in open court whether he had consulted with the victims on the plea, he misrepresented (lied) that he had spoken with the listed victims when he had not done so.

Moreover, Mark never made any effort to correct his bald faced lie to the trial court judge.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Mark.

As we speak (ca. July 2016), Mark practices with The Brunner Law Firm at 1000 Heritage Center Circle in Round Rock, Texas.
