Attorney William Spangler of Eau Claire, WI; serial liar

The State of Wisconsin presented William J. Spangler with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from Hamline University of California Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Dismissed client’s lawsuit but never told client about it
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Faked court documents indicating his client won a $100,000 judgment
• Told client he filed lawsuit when in fact he had not done so
• Fabricated court documents making it appear he filed lawsuit on client’s behalf
  Engaged in deception and betrayal of client’s trust
• Deceit of client lasted for five (5) years

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license, effective July 8,2016.

As we speak (ca. July 2016), Billy practices with Spangler Flory LLP at 526 Water Street in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
