Judge A. Greg Poole of Marietta, GA; moronic scofflaw

The state of Georgia presented A. Greg Poole with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from Samford University Law School.

Former Gov. Sonny Perdue was duped into appointing Poole as a Cobb County Circuit Court judge in 2003. Poole didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Marietta area. He received it because she had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

Georgia Ethics Laws mandate that all judges submit an annual financial disclosure statement wherein the report their income, assets and who gave them money for their political campaigns. Failure to so act provides for a mandatory fine of at least $125.00 for each violation.

When Judge Poole was informed that he was in violation of the mandatory reporting rules he responded by saying:

“I filed the personal disclosure the day I realized it was overdue…I believe the commission does a very good job nowadays of sending emails prior to documents falling due.”

So here we have another Moron basically blaming the Ethics Commission for his failure to comply with the law. If Poole is too incompetent to understand the meaning of “filing annually” then maybe it’s time for him to do the taxpayers a favor and voluntarily resign.

As we speak (ca. July 2016) Poole continues to sit as a Cobb County Superior Court judge in Marietta, Georgia.
