Judge Ural Glanville of Atlanta, GA; incompetent loser

The state of Georgia presented Ural Glanville with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the University of Georgia Law School.

Georgia Ethics Laws mandate that all judges submit an annual financial disclosure statement wherein the report their income, assets and who gave them money for their political campaigns. Failure to so act provides for a mandatory fine of at least $125.00 for each violation.

When Judge Glanville was informed by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he was in violation of the mandatory reporting rules he responded by saying:

• “I really wish I would have tracked mine a little bit closer and it certainly would be helpful to get reminders.”
• “But at the end of the day you as the elected official are responsible for filing that disclosure.”

I’m sure that Judge Glanville never experienced any difficulty in tracking the paycheck he received every two weeks to make sure there weren’t any shortages. To suggest that he is entitled to “reminders” from the Ethics Commission for failing to perform an obligation he well knew he was required to perform is absurd.

As we speak (ca. July 2016) Judge Glanville continues to sit as a Cobb County Superior Court judge in Atlanta, Georgia.
