Judge Carl Sharp of Monroe, LA; moron, serial liar

The state of Louisiana provided Carl Van Sharp with a law license in 1966 after he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

The Judicial Commission of Louisiana found Judge Sharp guilty of the following

• Completely ignored ethics investigators (Up yours, said Carl!)
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation
• Repeatedly lied that he didn’t have any cases under advisement
• Failed to render judgments in a timely manner
• Failed to respect and comply with the law
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to maintain professional competence in judicial administration (moron)
• Engaged in willful misconduct
• Engaged in a persistent failure to perform his judicial duties

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Carl by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension from his judicial office.

As we speak (ca. July 2016), Carl continues to sit as a 4^th Judicial District Court Judge in Monroe, Louisiana.
