The state of Pennsylvania provided Eugene Arthur Steger Jr. with a law license in 1987

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) has found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct

In one matter, Gene received a settlement check for $8,000; however, he failed to disburse the funds to his client and instead kept them for himself (thief).

In another matter, Gene represented a client in a collection of uninsured motorist benefits. He pursued two different insurance companies for payment of the same benefits without notifying the companies of his illegal actions.

Shortly after Gene was disbarred, the County DA criminally prosecuted him for his theft of the $8,000 settlement check. Subsequently, Gene the Thief pled guilty to the theft charge and was sentenced to a four-year term of probation and ordered to repay the $8,000 he stole.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Gene by ordering that his law license be revoked.

However, at a later date, the comedians sitting on the Supreme Court voted to reinstate Gene the Thief’s law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2016) Gene practices with Eugene Steger & Associates PC in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania.
