Attorney Willie Nunnery of Madison, WI; imbecile

The state of Wisconsin presented Willie J. Nunnery with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Willie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to competently represent two clients (imbecile)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep clients informed about status of their matters
  • Failed to comply with client requests for information
  • Failed to explain matters to the extent reasonably necessary to permit two clients to make informed decisions concerning the representation
  • Failed to reduce contingency fee agreement to writing as required
  • Failed to deposit client check into client trust account
  • Knowingly advanced claim unwarranted under existing law (sham)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Willie by gifting him with a complimentary 2-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2016), Dick practices at 802 West Broadway in Madison, Wisconsin.
