Attorney Stephen Younger of New York City; enabler, bootlicker for Judicial Misfits

Attorney Stephen P. Younger is a partner in Peterson Belknap Webb & Tyler, a law firm located in New York City. In addition, Mr. Younger is the President of the New York State Bar Association.

Recently, Mr. Younger and his group of certified lackeys and enablers at the State Bar Association along with their counterparts at the New York County Lawyers Association had the chutzpah to make several recommendations regarding the manner in which investigations of Judicial Misfits are handled.

Mr. Younger had the audacity to state that changes in the judicial discipline procedure were needed “to protect those who are charged unfairly.”

The most laughable proposal would have required that investigators to “accord judges the highest degree of respect” when looking into misconduct. (NY Times

In truth, in most instances investigators would be wise to “accord judges the highest degree of disrespect” when investigating Judicial Misfits.

Of course Mr. Younger and his cadre of attorney enablers/apologists have a vested financial interest in donning industrial strength knee pads while fronting for Judicial Misfits.

The so-called judicial conduct commission investigates about 250 judges a year and publicly disciplined 15 of them last year. There are about 3,500 full and part-time judges in New York. (NY Times)

To suggest that the commission could only find 15 Judicial Misfits who deserved to be publicly outed out of 3,500 doesn’t pass the involuntary laugh test. These laughable stats give a new meaning to “Ivory Soap” if ya know what I mean.

If Mr. Younger and the majority of New York lawyers were truly concerned about ridding the State of certifiable Judicial Misfits to protect the public, they would demand that all complaints be made public and that the judicial commission’s makeup contain a majority of layman who has absolutely no connection of any kind to the Legal Industry.
