Barrister Gary Horne of New Zealand; ethical dwarf

The Law Society of New Zealand presented Gary Douglas Horne with a law license in 1974.

The found New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal found Gary guilty of the following misconduct.

• Without client’s authority paid out $50,000 of client funds to Finance Co.
• Engaged in a deliberate action knowing his client would not approve of it
• Engaged in a conflict of interest

As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Zealand Disciplinary Tribunal punished Gary by gifting him with a complimentary censure and a $4,000 fine.
