Is Asst DA Brian Grady of Philadelphia an ethical gimp or accomplished pugilist?

During a trial and while representing the State in a criminal matter, the following took place after defense asked that a photograph the State wished to use be excluded as evidence, a request the trial judge granted.

Brian’s confrontation with trial Judge in the court’s robbing room

Brian basically went bananas over the court’s ruling and accused the judge of judicial misconduct. The judge then pointed his finger at Brian and warned him that he might be going to jail if he didn’t stop screaming and yelling.

Brian then approached the judge and told him not to put his finger in his face. At the time he was about 3 inches away from the judge. Brian is about 6’4” tall and weighed about 240 pounds while the judge was much smaller.

Brian’s altercation with Defense Counsel

After witnessing Brian’s threatening conduct aimed at the judge, the following took place:
  • Defense counsel walked towards Brian and hollered “yo, yo” in hopes he would stop
  • Defense counsel then stepped in between the judge and Brian because he was concerned for the judge’s safety
  • While so acting, defense counsel placed his hands on Brian’s chest
  • Brian then punched defense counsel with a closed fist
  • Brain then placed defense counsel in a headlock and punched him at least two more times and also repeatedly banged his head against a wall
  • Defense counsel was about 5’10” tall and weighed around 150 pounds
  • At this time the judge tried to pull Brian off defense counsel but was unable to do so
  • The judge then announced he was fining Brian $2,500 for contempt
  • When Brian heard of the $2,500 fine he was outraged and attempted to reenter the judge’s robbing room
As a result of his outrageous conduct, the enablers/apologists sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Brian by gifting him with a complimentary six month suspension.

As we speak (ca. Jan 2011), this certified loser is still employed as an assistant DA in Philadelphia. What a joke!

What do you think would happen to you if you punched out an opposing attorney in open court and also threatened a judge? To ask the question is to answer it, right?
