Attorney Herman Cohen of Los Angeles; serial deadbeat

The state of California provided Herman Jason Cohen with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the University of West Los Angeles Law School.

West LA Law School is a fourth tier school dedicated to serving losers that couldn’t get accepted at mainstream schools like UCLA or UC Davis.

The California Bar Court Herman guilty of the following misconduct.

Over the course of several months, Herman found it acceptable to misappropriate (steal) clients funds to pay for his firm’s business expenses. Some of the funds spent by Herman are:

• 8 checks for $23,710 paid to employee Yelena Vasina
• 1 check for $106.82 paid to Copy to Go (check no. 3603)
• 1 check for $106.82 paid to Copy to Go (check no. 3617)
• 1 check for $68 parking ticket paid to City of Los Angeles

In addition, on five (5) occasions, Herman’s law license was suspended because he failed to pay child and family support as ordered by the Los Angeles Superior Court.

As a consequence of his misconduct the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Herman by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the State Bar Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Herman.
