Judge Janet Calano of Eastchester, NY; lying loser

The state of New York presented Janet M. Calano with a law license in 1996 after she graduated from Pace University Law School.

The New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Judge Calano guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Impermissibly delegated judicial duties
  • Failed to review/approve dispositions involving Deputy Town Attorney
  • Altered official court records requested by ethics commission by placing initials on case files next to prosecutor’s notation of plea agreements, making it appear she had reviewed the cases
  • Failed to review sentences involving Town Attorney

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Janet by gifting her with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. May 2016) Janet continues to sit as a Eastchester Town Court Justice in Eastchester, New York. In addition, Janet practices law with Calano & Calano LLP at 14 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains, New York.
