Judge Nina Di Pietro of Ft. Lauderdale; ethical leprechaun

The state of Florida presented Nina Weatherly Di Pietro with a law license in 2006 after she graduated from Nova Southeastern University Law School.

Gov. Rick Scott was duped into appointing Nina to a seat on the Broward County Court in April 2015. Nina didn’t get the appointment because she was the most qualified lawyer in the greater Fort Lauderdale area. She got it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

In one matter, Nina has apparently violated Florida Judicial Ethics Rules by using a flyer that contains an endorsement from State Rep. Bobby DuBose, a Democrat from Fort Lauderdale.

It would be laughable at best for Nina to argue that she was unaware of the Judicial Ethics Rules that clearly prohibit this type of conduct. However, if ethics charges are filed against her, I’m confident she’ll defend herself by claiming “she was ignorant of the law.” Although this is not a viable defense in most instances, in the case of judges its normally a stepping stone to higher office.

All that’s left now is to see if the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Qualifications Commission file ethics charges against Nina. And if they do, then we’ll see what if any punishment is meted out to her by the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court.
