Drug addicts should be left to “Starve to Death” 

This isn’t the first Award presented to Rev. Pat Robertson. In the past, he has been the recipient of forty-one (41) Awards in various categories and the subject of five (5) opinion pieces. During a recent (mid-May 2016) broadcast of “The 700 Club” Comedy Show, resident comedian and Celebrated Humanitarian, Rev. Pat Robertson decided to display his unrelenting compassion for those among us who are unfortunately addicted to drugs. (Kyle Mantyla, Right Wing Watch)

During his comedy show, Patty alleged field a question from a compassionate viewer who wanted to know what the proper Christian response would be to drug addicts in her town who she complained were using up government and hospital resources that she had to pay for with her tax dollars. Patty responded by citing 2 Thessalonians 3:10, which states:

• “If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.”

Patty the Humanitarian then went on to tell his intellectually needy viewers:

• “There are a bunch of people who are just bums and they're trying to ride in on the charity of others."
• "Tough love will say, 'I'm not going to give you something.' ... If these people are out drugging themselves, let 'em starve to death.”
• “I know that sounds hard, but that's the way it's got to be.”

Put simply, Patty’s idea of compassion when dealing with folks hooked on drugs is to “let them starve to death.” I’m now aware of anything in the Bible wherein Jesus made such an inhumane comment.

Congrats Patty; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Humanitarian’s”; you are far too humble.
