Attorney Mindy Sauter of Dallas, Texas; ethical leprechaun

Mindy’s misconduct took while she was employed as an Assistance U.S. Attorney in Dallas.

In one matter,Mindy was assigned to be the lead prosecutor in a bank fraud case titled United States vs. Dvorin. In 2012 Dvorin was indicted by a grand jury on one count of conspiracy to commit bank fraud that involved multiple accounts at Pavillion Bank. Subsequently, Dvorin was found guilty; however, he appealed the guilty verdict.

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals reversed Dvorin’s conviction on the grounds of prosecutorial misconduct. In its ruling reversing the conviction, the Court found that Mindy engaged in the following misconduct.

• Suppressed material evidence favorable to Dvorin
• Engaged in prosecutorial misconduct
• Conducted the criminal trial in an irresponsible manner
• Suppressed evidence affecting credibility of key government witnesses
• Violated duty to not knowingly use false testimony to obtain conviction
• Exhibited reckless disregard for her prosecutorial duties

Of course Mindy didn’t give a damn about the cost to the taxpayers to retry Dvorin and/or the costs incurred for his successful appeal. All Mindy was concerned with was putting another notch on her conviction belt even if she had to violate the law to obtain it.

As we speak (ca. May 2016) Mindy practices with the Oberheiden Law Group PLLC in Dallas, Texas.

As one would suspect, the Oberheiden firm fails to disclose Mindy’s misconduct as aforementioned on its self-serving website at www.criminaldefense.com. Apparently, they chose to conceal this highly relevant information so as to not limit their future victim pool.
