Attorney Bretton Gerard of Richardson, TX; ethical leprechaun

The state of Texas presented Bretton Craig Gerard with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Southern Methodist University Law School.

The Grievance Committee found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Bretton represented a client in a bankruptcy matter. The client gave property to Bretton to hold toward a retainer. Thereafter, Bretton failed to hold the property separate from his own property.

In addition, Bretton failed to deliver the property to the client upon request and failed to promptly render a full accounting of the client’s property.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Bretton by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Bretton.

As we speak (ca. May 2016), Bretton practices at 111 West Spring Valley Road in Richardson, Texas.
