Attorney Fronse Smith of Mishawaka, IN; convict

The state of Indiana presented Fronse Wayne Smith with a law license in 2013.

The Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission has charged Fronse with the following misconduct.

In one matter, Fronse was found guilty of intimidation in mid-2015 in an incident involving his estranged wife, Linda Smith, and an ax. At the time of the incident Fronse and Linda lived in separate residences in St. Joseph County, Indiana.

Fronse called Linda to ask if she wanted anything from McDonald’s. After she declined, Fronse became agitated and argued with her over the phone. Fronse then told her she was a bad wife and that he was angry they were separated. He went on to tell Linda “he was going to split her chest open with an ax.”

Fronse then told Linda he was looking for an ax and said he was coming to her home. Linda then fled the home and drove to the police station to report Fronse’s conduct. Police then headed to Linda’s home and found Fronse inside. There was an ax in the car.

Subsequently, Fronse was convicted of intimidation and sentenced to a one-year term of probation.

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Fronse the Ax Man by the enablers for Attorney Misconduct sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court.
