Attorney Maria Marusic of Windsor, CAN; ethical dwarf

The Law Society of Upper Canada presented Maria Frances Marusic with a law license in 1993 after she graduated from the University of Western Ontario Law School.

The Law Society of Upper Canada found Maria guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide client with written fee agreement
• Assisted suspended attorney in illegal practice of law
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Involved in questionable romantic relationship with suspended attorney
• Co-signed three checks from client trust totaling $1.2 million for attorney when the conditions for release of the funds had not been met

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Upper Law Society Committee punished Maria by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2015), Maria practices with Shulgan Martini & Marusic at 902-100 Quellete Avenue in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
