Attorney Thomas Mulligan of Spooner, WI; cheating loser

The state of Wisconsin presented Thomas O. Mulligan with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from Indiana University Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to deposit advance fees into client trust account
  • Failed to perform required month reconciliations
  • Withdrew $5,000 in bail return money from trust account and transferred it into his general account when he knew $500 belonged to his client
  • Failed to provide client with written fee agreement
  • Deposited personal funds into office trust account
  • Converted between $6,700 and $9,500 of client or third-party funds for his personal use (cheater)
  • Failed to maintain complete transaction register
  • Made cash disbursements of $6,593 from trust account

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary 9-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2016), Tommy practices with Thomas O. Mulligan Law Offices at 902 North River Street in Spooner, Wisconsin.
