Attorney Richard Habermann of McAllen, TX; ethical troll

The state of Texas presented Richard Otto Habermann with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the Creighton University School of Law.

The District 12 Grievance Committee found Danny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to deliver funds to parties entitled to receive the funds promptly
  • Order to pay $88,672 in restitution and $800 in attorneys’ fees and direct expenses

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Judge Cano by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2020), Dick practices with the Law Office of Richard O. Habermann at 1415 Kerria Avenue in McAllen, Texas.
