Judge Willie Weaver of Albany, GA; accused wife beater

The state of Georgia presented Willie Cecil Weaver with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from Mercer University Law School.

The Judicial Qualifications Commission found Willie guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Willie was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault involving his wife Vester Weaver.

Albanynews reports stated that Willie was charged with hitting his wife in the face with a beer bottle.

Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation had been called in after Weaver’s wife was taken to a local hospital with facial cuts that required stitches following what the DA described at the time as an alleged incident of domestic violence.

Magically Willie’s wife along with her pastor James Bush of the Greater Pines Chapel Missionary Baptist Church—said that Vesta Weaver “has been forced to learn that you can be separated from your family members with no understanding of how and why it occurred.”

Subsequently, Willie entered into a plea deal with the Prosecutor that led to the assault charge being dismissed.

It is likely that Mrs. Weaver denied Willie hit her with a beer bottle because of threats he received from her after the fact. This is not unusual and unfortunately happens all the time. However, how does Willie explain how his wife required stitches from facial cuts at the hospital after the event took place?

Who knows, maybe Mrs. Weaver hit herself in the face with a bottle of beer. After all, its well known that it is not unusual for a wife to incur a black eye by intentionally hitting her husband’s fist with her face.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court punished Willie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2016), Willie continues to sit as a Albany Municipal court judge. Additionally, Willie practices law with the Weaver Law Offices at 911 Pine Avenue in Albany Georgia.
