Attorney Georgia Nixon of High Point, NC; ethical misfit

The State of Georgia presented Georgia S. Nixon with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Mercer University Law School.

In one matter, Georgia was reprimanded by Guilford County Superior Court Judge Stuart Albright regarding ethical violations during a hearing for a man accused of driving under the influence (DUI).

Judge Albright said questions were raised about whether Georgia had engaged in improper ex parte (one-sided) communications with a previous judge who sat on the case.

The prior judge was District Court Judge Jan Samet who signed an order, then struck it and then recused himself (withdrew) from the DUI case.

As we speak (ca. April 2016), Georgia practices with the Nixon Law Offices PA at 210 East Lexington Avenue in High Point, North Carolina.
