Judge Paul Braden of Whitley County, KY; pervert, Il Duce Wannabee

Judge Paul Braden unfortunately sits on the 34th District court in Whitley County, Kentucky, which is about 70 miles north of Knoxville, Tennessee.

In late December 2010, Elvert Mays and Glenda Sexton, acting as their own attorneys, filed a lawsuit against Judge Braden in Federal District court in London, Kentucky.

The lawsuit alleges that Judge Braden made sexual advances to Ms. Sexton and several phone calls to her cell phone. It was also alleged that he abused his contempt powers by calling one of Ms. Sexton’s friends and telling him that he better control her or she would be “on the inside looking out.”

Ms. Sexton alleged that Judge Braden wanted her to drop charges she had filed with the Judicial Conduct Commission which came about from his refusal to recuse himself or allow a change of venue after the complaint was filed with the Commission.

The complaint further alleged a variety of judicial misconduct including altering court documents and overruling motions to disqualify himself from a case because of bias, knowledge or opinion of the case.

Given the fact that the Kentucky Judicial Commission is well regarded as a do-nothing organization that is primarily in the business of protecting Judicial Misfits, I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for them to take any real action against this alleged pervert.
