Judge Hector De Pena Jr. of Corpus Christi; serial pervert

The state of Texas presented Hector De Pena Jr. with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from St. Mary’s University Law School.

The Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct found Hector guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was sitting as an Associate Corpus Christi Municipal Court judge.

In one matter, several female detention officers claimed that at various times Hector had made sexually inappropriate comments to them and/or made unwanted physical contact with them.

  • Asked one employee about her marital status and then suggested that the two of them “run away”
  • Rubbed one employees shoulders w/o her consent
  • Would refer to employee as “darling” or “gorgeous”
  • Forcibly kissed employee in court hallway
  • Told one employee he was there “to sexually harass” her
  • Made unwanted contact by touching the employee’s back and waste while teller her “Just remember, I love you”
  • Touched the right breast of one employee w/o her consent

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Hector the Perv by gifting him with a complimentary warning.

Apparently, Hector was of the firm belief that sexually harassing the female staff was considered to be a Judicial Perk.

As we speak (ca. March 2016) Hector continues to be employed as a part-time judge in Corpus Christ, Texas.
