Attorney Louis Capozzoli of Des Plaines, IL; ethical leprechaun

The state of Illinois presented Louis Capozzoli with a law license in 1987.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Louie guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, while Louie was representing prospective adoptive parents in an adoption proceeding, he declined to investigate a claim of paternity raised by the child’s biological father.

Louie also failed to inform the court of the biological father’s claim and failed to serve the biological father with notice of the adoption proceedings. Consequently, the judgment of adoption was voided and the child, who had resided with Louie’s clients for almost two years, was returned to her biological father.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Louie by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (April 2016), Louie practices with the Law Offices of Louis Capozzoli at 1484 Miner Street in Des Plaines, Illinois.
