Attorney Clifton Gray III of Raleigh; ethical leprechaun

The state of North Carolina provided Clifton J. Gray III with a law license in 2005 after he graduated from North Carolina Central University Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar has found Cliff guilty of the following misconduct.

• After being fired failed to refund unearned fee
• Promised to refund unearned fee but failed to do so
• Failed to respond to fee arbitrators numerous phone calls
• Failed to provide requested info to fee arbitrator
• Failed to participate in fee dispute process in violation of rules
• Falsely denied failing to respond to fee facilitator
• Falsely claimed to have phoned fee facilitator numerous times
• Promised to provide investigator with phone records re: calls he made to fee facilitator
• Failed to provide phone records to ethics investigators
• Falsely claimed to have refunded unearned fee
• Promised to provide investigators with cancelled checks proving refund of unearned fees
• Failed to provide cancelled checks and cover letters to ethics investigators

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary censure. 

As we speak (ca. March 2016) Clifton practices at 434 Fayetteville Street in Raleigh, North Carolina.
