Attorney Dan Merrell of Nags Head, NC; repeat offender

The state of North Carolina provided Dan L. Merrell with a law license in 1979.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Danny guilty of the following misconduct

• Improperly disclosed confidential client information
• Used client information to disadvantage of the client
• Refused to acknowledge wrongful nature of conduct
• Engaged in a pattern of misconduct

As one would suspect, this isn’t Danny’s First bite at the attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary stayed suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Danny by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 4-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Danny.
