Attorney Steven Kirschner of Sylvan Lake, Mi: thieving liar

The state of Michigan presented Steven C. Kirschner with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the University of Detroit Law School.

The Michigan Attorney Disciplinary Board found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to seek client’s legal objectives in various domestic, probate, real estate, collection and bankruptcy matters
• Failed to return unearned portion of fees paid to him
• Failed to advise client of settlement negotiations
• Failed to communicate with clients and/or made false statements to them regarding the status of their cases
• Knowingly delivered to client refund check on a client trust account which had been closed
• Received $250 from client for costs that he then misappropriated (stole) for his own personal use
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Stevie!)
• Gave false answers to two ethics investigative questions

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2016), Stevie practices at 2360 Orchard Lake Road in Sylvan Lake, Michigan.
