Attorney Santiago Rangel of Dallas; ethical gnome

The state of Texas presented Santiago Rangel with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law.

The 152nd Civil District Court found Santiago  guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to pay required fees to State Bar
  • Engaged in illegal practice of law while license suspended
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Santiago!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Santiago by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 3-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Santiago.

As speak (ca. December 2018), Santiago practices at 11352 Gatewood Place in Dallas, Texas.
