Judge Shawn Womack of Mountain Home, AR; ethical elf

The state of Arkansas presented Shawn Allen Womack with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

Shawn has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past sixteen years. He spent ten years as a state legislator and has been on the bench since 2008 when he duped the voters into electing him to the 14th Judicial District Court. Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the Baxter County area was about to offer Shawn a good paying job.

It should be noted that Shawn has previously received a complimentary caution for engaging in a variety of misconduct. To view a story about Shawn’s misconduct, visit the URL at the end of this article.

Judge Womack is now attempting to dupe the voters in Arkansas to elect him as an Associate Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court. Shawn’s opponent in the March 1, 2016 primary election is Little Rock attorney Clark Mason.

According to the Arkansas Secretary of State’s office, Womack has failed to submit itemization of at 45 percent of his total campaign contributions when he ran for election as a District Court judge in Mountain Home.

Graham Sloan, director of the Arkansas Ethics Commission, confirmed that "candidates are required to file reports of contributions and expenditures. You have to itemize contributions over $50 and expenditures over $100.00.

Fortunately for Shawn the Loser, the 4-year statute of limitations has passed on his violations of state law. Therefore, he cannot be criminally prosecuted for his conduct.

It’s obvious that Shawn’s primary reasons for seeking a seat on the Arkansas Supreme Court is because he’ll receive an annual salary of $166,000 a year. This is a princely sum for a loser that couldn’t have earned half that much practicing law.

Hopefully, the voters in Arkansas will tell Shawn to take a hike and refuse to elect him to a seat on the Arkansas Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. July 2007), Shawn continues to sit as a District Court judge in Mountain View, Arkansas, which is located in Baxter County.
