Barrister Tariq Rehman of Birmingham, UK; ethical gremlin

The Law Society presented Tariq Rehman with a law license in 1979.

The Queensland Legal Practice Tribunal found Tariqguilty of the following misconduct.

Barrister Tariq Rehman

  • Delayed/failed to refund fees to clients
  • Failed to promptly pay compensation awards to clients
  • Failed to ensure his office was administered competently
  • Failed to assure office properly staffed
  • Five month delay in refund of £1,100 ($1,500 U.S.) of fees
  • Failed to pay public access clients required fees or refunds
  • Failed to provide written information to clients
  • Failed to inform clients in writing basis of fees

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Tribunal punished Tariq by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. March 2016), Tariq practices at the Albert House on Albert Street in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
