Attorney Matthew Swedick of Voorheesville, NY; ethical elf

The state of New York presented Matthew James Swedick with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from the Albany Law School.

The Appellate Division, Third Department found Matty guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Matty was convicted by a jury of having sex with a client in exchange for providing her with free legal services. This kind of gives a new meaning to the term “pro bono” if you know what I mean.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oklahoma Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license effective April 2014.
