The state of Colorado provided Carl J. Reach with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the University of Denver Law School.

The Colorado State Bar found Carl guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide competent representation (idiot)
• Neglected legal matters entrusted to him
• Failed to provide clients with written basis for legal fees
• Failed to maintain required accounting records
• Failed to refund unearned fees or received them belatedly

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Carl by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Carl.
