The state of Colorado provided Richard G. Patchen Jr. with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Denver.

The Colorado State Bar found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

• Pled guilty to disturbing the peace
• Pled guilty domestic violence
• Failed to report domestic violence conviction to State Bar as required

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 3-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2016), Dick practices with the Law Office of Richard G. Patchen Jr. at 11090 East Colfax Avenue in Aurora, Colorado.
